Korean Style Spicy Chicken Stew ( 닭볶음탕 ) Dak Bokkeum Tang

What is Korean Spicy Chicken Stew ? Dak bokkeum tang ?






  •  Dak Bokkeum tang is spicy korean chicken dish.
  • It's spicy version of korean chicken stew.
  • Stew tastes spicy and sweet.
  • you can add sweet potato , carrot , potato , onion
  • Dak bokkeum tang is very popular dish in Korea.
  • For most of families , dak bokkeum tang is very popular dish for your heavy dinner.
  • It takes about 45 minutes to serve.
  • Dak bokkeum tang is fancy dish you can serve with small amount of money.

Ingredients

whole cut chicken ( or your favorite parts of chicken )
1 potato or sweet potato
1 onion
1 scallion
1 carrot
peppers ( as much as you like )
3 tbsp of pepper paste
2 tbsp of chilli pepper podwer
salt and pepper for your taste
2 tbsp of minced garlic
1 sugar or honey podwer ( of you like it more sweeter, you can always add more)
3 tbsp of soy sauce
1 tbsp of sesame oil

1. clean you chicken on running water. Then boil the chicken in hot pot or pan





2. If chicken if fully cooked, please drain the water and add 2 cups of hot water


3. Add all your spice and start boiling.






4. After 5 min , add the vegetables


5. cook the chicken and vegetable until the chicken gets tender and juicy





Once eveything is cooked serve with rice and enjoy your dish !

Abalone rice porridge : "전복죽" : Jeonbokjuk


▶ Abalone rice porridge : "전복죽" : Jeonbokjuk

Ingredients:  2 fresh abalone , 1cup of rice , hint of pepper and salt ,
 2tbsp of sesame oil , 7cups of water

*********************************************************


BEFORE you do any thing !
wash the rice in the fresh water and soak them for 30min before you start anything
( so when you add the rice later , rice will cook faster and give nice texture. )




▶ first you have to squicky clean the abalone.
( I got fresh abalone from H Mart )


▶ Remove the abalone teeth

 




▶ on the small pot, pour 2tbsp sesame oil
and cook the abalone for one minute or two and add the rice 

* Add the pepper and salt at last *

pour the jeonbok juk in the small bowl and enjoy your simple meal !

[ Korean Food ] Spicy Fried Fishcake : 매콤한 오뎅볶음









pick your favorite fishcake from store.
I chose Japanese fishcake for my favorite fishcake from my experience !





If you don't like too spicy on your dish, careful on adding the peppers.





For Spicy kick, I added some Habanero pepper on my dish.




※ WARINING ※
please think wise on adding habanero pepper in to your dish !




Cut fishcake into small bit size 




slice all you veggies !




Mix all your sauce ingredients into bowl or container.




Heat up a pan and pour olive oil and fishcake and stir until it cooks. 




Add veggies and stir for 2minutes 




Add the spicy sauce you have made in the future and stir until all the sauce get on to your fishcake













And we are all done !


Enjoy your dish with some sticky rice or fried rice for your korean meal  !

Fried seasoned zucchini : Hobak bokkeum [호박볶음]






Things you will need ! 




cut the zucchinies in thin slices




Heat up your fry pan and add some olive oils



put sliced zucchinies in the heated pan



use your spatula and stir the zucchinies so you wont burn them or over cook them!



add sae u jeot or salt for flavor



add minced garlic and stir for 30sec




Now tast the korean style fried zucchini with meat or some rice !
