Korean Chicken Soup (삼계탕) samgyetang

Hello everyone today I am going to be making 삼계탕.(Korean Chicken soup). During Summer Koreans eat 삼계탕 to restore energy which was lost through sweating and hot weather. Since we stuff chicken with ginseng dates and garlic’s it full of nutrition and proteins. In Summer, we all get exhausted easily and tired easily.That's when you need 삼계탕. So lets begin !






 First,thaw chicken completely in the water. Rinse the chicken in running water. 
Make sure you clean the inside of the chicken.



Then lets stuff cleaned chicken with 
1) sweet rice 
2) ginseng
3) dates 
4) garlic
5) sweet rice 


 And then your going to make a hole in the chicken leg with knife to knot the chicken together. ( please review the video for more detail ) 





 Using toothpick, close the chicken

 If you cant find above ingredients or too lazy to prepare for the ingredients, you can use this teabag instead. I used this along with other ingredients and its GOOD! I like it. I found this at frozen chicken section in H mart, I think you can get this at H mart website. 
( if you dont live near any Korean or Asian market)



 Add the water and the ingredients, then boil for 1:30 ~ 2:00 hours



 And your done ! Add salt and pepper for your taste. The chicken will be so tender and juicy when you try it.This recipe can be easy or hard. But if you have the ingredients its really easy and simple to make a full nutrition meal in 3 hours.
